Abstract EN

The primary aim of this study is to explore the religious thought of pre-Islamic Arabs as expressed by the Arab poet Umayya Ibn Abi El-Salt, whose poetry is mainly concerned with religious preaching, using such motifs as the morale intended by the stories of the prophets and ancient people.

The second aim of this research is to trace the sources from which this Arab poet derived these motifs.

A comparison is drawn between the content of his poetry and the messages found in the Bible and the Qur'an.
