Abstract EN

This research covers the constitutional framework regulating and organizing constitutional powers of Saudi Arabia state.

The research, therefore, examines the theoretical constitutional framework, whereby the government system plays a pivotal role including the philosophy behind the particularities of the Saudi constitutional system, as well as, the basic principles defining the political system of Saudi Arabia.

The research also defines the nature of power in the Saudi constitutional system and its source of legality being the Shari’a Law.

Accordingly the Saudi Basic law sets out the principles and limits that govern the powers of the State, how it undertakes its functions on basis of Shari’a Law and the constitutional provisions of the Council of Ministers Regulation, Consultative Council Regulation and the Pledge of Allegiance Commission Regulation.
