This research aims to examine the role of the supervisory agencies in improving the performance of government agencies in the GCC countries by explaining the concepts, types and supervisory agencies that provide the foundation for supervision.

Finally, the study deals with the obstacles facing the performance of both the public and supervisory agencies, and the mechanisms to improve their performance.

The research consists of an introduction and three parts which explain the problem of the study, its importance, plan, and approach.
