The research aims to study the impact of the applications of management information systems at administrative work in general and at King Saud University in particular.

The study focuses on the advantages of the applications of management information systems to the administrative process, as well as the requirements of these systems and obstacles.

The research indicated the existent of the required infrastructure such as hardware.

However, the application of efficient management information systems at work needs to attract specialized human recourses in this area.

The most important obstacles in using and applying management information systems were lack of awareness of the importance of management information systems, lack of training, resistance of some to change fearing from the impact on their powers, and the large number of failures of running university electronic networks and computers at work.
