Abstract EN

The aim of the study is to investigate transparency practice degree among educational directors superintendents and their assistants in Jordan.

The sample of the study consisted of 51 (39 male ; 12 female) educational directors from (3) educational directorate : Jerash, Ajloune and Dair A’llah.

To achieve the aim of the study, the researcher developed a questionnaire of (80) items, Reliability and validity for the instrument were established using the statistical procedures.

Results of the study indicated moderate practice degree for transparency among educational directorates superintendents and their assistants in administrative decision making on individual domains and whole instrument.

High levels of difficulties were identified when practicing transparency in administrative decision making.

No significant difference at (& = 0.05) were found due to gender and experience, while difference were found due to qualification ; in favor of MA holders.

The researcher recommended the need for more clarification for the concept of transparency and its significance for educational directorates personnel via organizing training courses, seminars and other forms of educational tools.

Difficulties encountered when practicing transparency must be fully addressed and solutions must be proposed to overcome them.

There solutions may include providing adequate information and statistical date before making decisions, and resisting social pressures when making decisions.
