Abstract EN

Simulation of the Islamic decorative elements in the Abbasid palaceThis study aimed to research on the possibility of applied aesthetic inspired by Islamic decorative elements in the Abbasid palace in Bagdad in the contemporary interior design, as also aimed to detect applied aesthetic designs that realy on Islamic motifs in contemporary interior design.

The Arab Islamic study runs from the decorative arts in order to be represented in the creative contemporary productions, where the Arab decoration has it’s own organized ideas which are derived from the spiritual essence of Islam.

The Arab Islamic intellectual values in the arts can be inspired in order to be represented in the creative contemporary productions.

The researcher pursued a descriptive analytical method , where he described the models under discussion in terms of engineering and decorative plans , and construction analysis engineered so as to indicate construction geometric relationship ( square , pentagon , octagon ...

etc.) , and the engineering relationship between space and internal spaces to devise aesthetic Applied and inspired in the contemporary interior design.

The nature of the research and analytical method used descriptive note an essential tool to describe and analyze the models in question, a two models of the Abbasid palace in Baghdad / Iraq, (the Abbasid palace entrance, and crown scheme in one of the entrances of one of the halls upstairs).

The research concluded that the decorative installations in the Abbasid Palace have prospered phenotypic structure decorative formations by the changeable diversity of the elements involved in organizing formal according to the plurality of its proceedings decorative kinds in the interior design of the space type, as well as the difference in the size or style of implementation between single and another within the same configuration which contributed to bring diversity and movement in the phenotypic characteristics of configurations according to the unit design in a coherent edifice.

As more that the use of the method in the geometric distribution came to harmonize diversity in a real division of space within the decorative frames basic configurations and space and shows plasticity to adapt and pervading space no matter how different
