The present study comes to the conclusion that al-Sayyab, in his last poetic period, in his deep emotional involvement with Wafiqa, created his mythology wherein Wafiqa is the central symbol.

In this creative process, he utilizes highly artistic techniques that enabled him to fuse together in “The Gardens of Wafiqa” a number of different forms of poetic images tied together in an organic fashion.
