Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the role of the computer in developing creative thinking among students from the technology teachers’ point of view in schools of the Directorate of Education/ Southern Hebron according to several variables; gender, qualification and school location.

Moreover, it aimed to identify the levels of critical thinking among students according to creative thinking skills.

The study followed the descriptive analytical approach to analyze the data.

The number of the population was 160 female and male teachers.

The study used a comprehensive survey of the study population.

A questionnaire contained 30 statements was used for collecting data.

Results showed that the role of the computer was intermediate in developing creative thinking among students in general.

The highest average of creative thinking was in a descending order: flexibility, grasping and expanding details, sensitivity skill to problems or phenomena, and fluency and originality.

Results showed that there were no significant differences in the role of computers in developing creative thinking among students according to varieties: gender, qualification, years of experience, and school location.

The study came out with several recommendations
