جمع 189طيرا من الزقزاق ابيض الذنب White-tailed Plover المسمى علميا Chettusia leucura و 16 طيرا من الكرسوع Black-winged Stilt المسمى علميا Himantopus himantopus التي تعيش على ضفاف شط العرب المار بمنطقة العنبري شمال محافظة البصرة.
فحصت هذه الطيور بحثا عن الديدان المتطفلة فيها، اذ وجد أن 171 من طيور الزقزاق ابيض الذنب مصابة بالدودة الشريطة Choanotaenia baicalensis و 12 طيرا من الكرسوع مصابا بالدودة الشريطية.

علما أن شريطيات الجنس Choanotaeni تسجل لأول مرة في العراق في هذه الدراسة.
Abstract EN
out of 189 birds of White-tailed Plover (Chettusia leucura), and 16 birds of Black-winged Stilt ( Himantopus himantopus) were collected from AL-Anbari region which occupied on Shatt AL-Arab coast north of Basrah province.
These birds were examined for helminth parasites.
Found that 171 of the birds White-tailed Plover were found infected with cestode Choanotaenia baicalensis and 12 birds of Black-winged Stilt were found infected with cestode species Choanotaenia sp.
.
These parasites were recorded for the first time in Iraq in the present investigation.
