Abstract EN

This study displays the philological phenomenon in Qur`an as it is shown by the Orientalists.

The study tries to identify the term, and its beginnings.

and how the evolution of the study of ancient languages to critique religious texts of the Jews, Christians, and then applied to the Qur`an.

Then the study shows the most prominent Orientalist studies that followed philological approach in the study of the Quranic revelation.

And the study reviews and evaluates their approach through both the inductive and critical methodology.

The most important findings of the study is that the philological approach projected results that came out of critical (the Bible) on the Quran.

However, the study recommends reviewing the Orientalist references, that some of them are still gaining acceptance and praise.

Drawing attention to the viewpoint of Orientalists that includes untrue ideas and false concepts of the Qur`an, to reveal their fallacies of Orientalists.
