دراسة المستويات المصلية لـ CEA و CYFRA 21-1 عند مرضى سرطان الرئة غير صغير الخلايا

Abstract EN

The aim of this research is define the role of Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), and Cytokeratin fragment 21-1 (CYFRA 21-1) tumor markers in the assistance to diagnosis Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), and directing to take histological biopsy, and study the role of metastasis on serum levels of CEA, CYFRA21-1 and injury of NSCLC.

The serum sample are collected from 105 patients of NSCLC that are divided according to metastasis, and from 70 healthy persons (40 smokers and 30 nonsmokers) and measure CEA, CYFRA 21-1 for both patients and normal persons by ELISA with kits from Germany Demeditec company.

Our results showed high CEA and CYFRA21-1 levels in NSCLC patients compared with healthy subjects, these high levels were correlated with metastasis.

So the serum levels of CEA can be used as supporting test in diagnosis of NSCLC, especially NSCLC with metastasis
