Abstract EN

The problem of random lodgment in the big Arab cities is considered as one of the lodgment and demographic problems of which these cities suffer from sinking under the heavy load of this random lodgment that surrounds the majority of these cities under the form of avenues and regions sometimes anarchically constructed and sometime dispersed.

This fact led consequently to the occurrence of multiple lodgment, housing, service, social and economical problems.

This search contains a study characteristic with the field research of some of the big Arab cities, including the following outlines: A.

Methodology and aim of the research, study of the demographic increase phenomena, its historic steps and the reasons going from the normal demographic increase till the internal migration.

B.

Study of the actual situation of the random lodgment, problems end housing, demographic, economic and social situations and the decrease of the agricultural lands around the cities, the increase of demographic density and creation of service problems.

C.

' Suggestions, planning and future solutions to the random lodgment plus a list of references.
