Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the degree of principals’ leadership behavior at central West Bank in Palestine, i.

e.

the governorates of Jerusalem, Ramalla, Bethlehem, and Jericho, from teachers’ viewpoints.

A stratified random sample was chosen, of which 362 persons responded.

A 52-item questionnaire was developed to collect data; validity and reliability of the questionnaire were determined.

Results showed that the degree of principals’ leadership behavior, as estimated by teachers, was medium on individual set, as well as on overall, bases.

Results also showed that there were statistically significant differences between respondents’ means with regard to gender, experience, and reference in favor of females, teachers with little experience, and UNRWA schools consequently; whereas no significant differences were determined with regard to qualification and specialty of teachers.
