Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the most important service learning projects that should be emphasized in the national and civic textbooks in Jordan in the 8th, 9th and 10th grades at the upper basic cycle; and to identify the service learning projects that already exist in these textbooks, and how they were distributed.

The study suggested a list of 27 service learning projects that were reviewed and approved.

After analyzing the content of the three textbooks, it was found that they contained very few service learning projects in grades 8, 9, and 10 in the national and civic education textbooks.

The number of these projects was only 7.

The results of the study revealed no significant differences among the three books in terms of presenting the service learning projects.

The study suggested a number of recommendations.
