Abstract EN

This study was aimed to evaluate biology textbook of the intermediate grade according to the total quality standards for the academic year 2012-2013.

To achieve this aim, an instrument has been built for the total quality standards.

This list in in its final form, consists of (10) items included ( using the sense in the content, inducing the activities, inducing the student in conclusion, making the assumption, selecting the assumption, using the number, collection of the information, discussion the scientific ideas, selection the best solve, doing the scientific experiment, using laboratory instruments, and first aid).

The analysis content includes the analysis of about (449) pages.

The list was viewed by a group of experts and its reliability and stability were found.

The results revealed the biology textbook of the intermediate grade was in good level compared with standard ratio depending on opinion of experts and it is 70%, while (the first aid and the inducing the student in conclusion) was greatly performed in biology textbook, while the standard ( collection the information by the student) was less performed.

It has been recommended to focus on the main standard which is neglected for the science and work and included with biology textbook of intermediate grade.

Also recommend making balance in the percent of different scientific inclusion with biology textbook of intermediate grade, so the conclusion, guessing, and noticing standard don’t appears in significant level.

It has been concluded to make the close study for inclusion other textbook such as chemistry and physics.
