Abstract EN

This research aims at studying the different cultural and social implications used to produce linguistic implications in condolences discourse in the use of the achievement of sociolinguistics.

It looks at the different ways through which condolences discourse interacted with society, while studying the changes in language structure in condolences discourse in response to its social functions regarding the death issue.

The most prominent sociolinguistic phenomena studied by this research is the focus on patience, and urging the kins of the deceased to not to go on deeply in their sorrow and grief.

This is clear when using strong linguistic tools which the research studies its social reasons.

In addition the value of martyrdom in the Moslem society and its linguistic expressions, the beliefs and the traditions of the Arabic, Moslem society in time of suffering, and losing sons and its very special pain in the Arabic society.

The letter of condolences can be modeled according to the channel of communication, the parts of discourse communicators and the situational context.
