And was the main problem of the research by asking the following: - What economic activity rates of the population of the govenorate of Thi- Qar? and whether changes have occurred during the period (1997-2010), and whether there is variation in the rates of participation among the age groups of the population and spatial units in the province, and in light of this, suppose the research that there are differing spatial and temporal between the activity rates Economic for the people of the province, and to achieve this study adopted the analytical method, using some of the arrays and digital measurements of population to highlight the spatial variation between the administrative units, and they were border spatial search in Thi Qar and Matdm of administrative units, while spanned the border temporal duration of the (1997-2010), was The study reached several conclusions from the most important was the increase of economic activity rate of crude (23.4%) in 1997 to (78%) in 2010.

At the level of administrative units recorded on the dawn reached the highest percentage (90.3%) in 2010, and is higher than the overall rate, while decreased to the lowest proportion (49.4%) in terms of leopards.
