Grammatical Aspects in Jarir'r Poetry as Viewed by Grammarians.

Jrir is considered one of the most outstanding and most prolific poets of the Umayyad Age.

As such, his poetry captivated the attention of ancient critics as the product of a distinguished poet whom they preferred to many of his contemporaries such as AL Farazdaq, Akhtal, Taglubi, among many others.

His poetry was the centre of much care of both critics and creative writers.

They investigated his poetry and analyzed it in order to reveal his poetic world and foreground his artistic and literary character.

Given all these, the present study seeks to highlight the most important issues raised by Jrir in his poetry and studied and analysed by grammarians later.

The article includes five basic headings: sentence order, morphology, poetic licence in grammar, Tamim’s dialect and grammar and gender.
