Abstract EN

The present research aims to disambiguating and understanding the concept of social responsibility of the institutions.

As a specialist in this field, the researcher notices that the concept of social responsibility is unclear and ambiguous as well as there are no distinguishing lines between social responsibility and other concepts as philanthropic works and law responsibility.

It also aims at tracking the development of social responsibility in social ideology in general through showing the social responsibility in early Islamic as well as tracking this concept in western social theories and literature through exploring several approaches of sociologists and economists who examine and review the concept of social responsibility or any other relative social systems, which didn't only shape the face of life in the West but in all over the world; particularly the capital system which led to a growing class of businessmen and huge-size companies and institutions.

Accordingly, social responsibility of the institutions became a must requirement toward society in which they work as a trial of filling the gap between the rich and the poor and a way of supporting one another in their community.
