Abstract EN

The current study aims at identifying the relationship between the social support and satisfaction with life as well as psychological strength among Palestinian women losing their husbands .the study population consisted of (7194) , Take sample consists of (129) women.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the two researchers have employed the scale of social support, satisfaction with life and psychological hardness.

After verifying the reliability and validity of the tools, they have been applied to the study sample.

The findings of the study reveal that there are statistically significant relationship between the social support and satisfaction with life as well as psychological strength among women losing their husbands.

The study also shows that there are no significant differences in social support satisfaction with life and psychological hardness attributed to the bereaved one (martyr - natural death).

However, there are differences in the study variables due to the nature of residence (independent – shared).

In addition, the study findings indicate that there are differences in satisfaction with life among women losing their husbands attributed to age, and in favor of old women.

Finally, the study findings point out significant effects of social support on satisfaction with life and psychological strength.
