Abstract EN

No Islamic school departed the power such as Kharijites، which its action of departing out of power was linked to its name.

This school continued playing the role of disturbing factor to the authority in the Umayyad and Abbasid periods.

From this group emerged "alShabeebieh" which lasted a period of time، a departing and rebellious power against the Umayyad authority، represented by the Caliphate Abdul Malik bin Marwan and its governor al-Hajjaj bin Yusuf alThaqafi.

Despite the beginning of the revolution of Shabeeb، as a victory for the religious principles of Kharijites، especially by its first founder Saleh bin Musarrah، but it took the tribal economic form، led by Shiban tribe، especially after dropping this tribe from the grants fund in the Umayyad period.

Shabib، with his military experience and courage، could achieve many victories، despite the small number facing the Umayyad armies.

What distinguishes the Kharijites in general and alShabeebieh in particular is the active participation of women.

Shabib is not the sole leader of his group، but there were another commander، whose courage knighthood was sung by historians.

This co-leader was not a man، but al-Ghazlah، the woman of Shabeeb.

Al-Ghazalah was not alone، but the mother Shabeeb was with her sharing fighting.

AlGhazalah was able to do what the strongest rebels failed to do against the Umayyad power، which was to challenge al-Hajjaj bin Yusuf al-Thaqafi.

Al-Ghazalah was able to enter Kufa، forcing its governor، al-Hajjaj، to flee before her.

It seems that this participation made Shabeeb raise the legitimacy of woman's right in governorship، having no harm in this opinion، which made Kharijites the only school in this proposal.

Women's military participation did not start with al-Shabeebieh، since Kharijites generally paved a vast area for women since the beginning of the Umayyad period، as some historians talked about an army of women in some Kharijites groups.

Perhaps what al-Shabeebieh group advocated of women's governorship, in addition to the fame of some of their women، through their participation in wars, such as al-Ghazalah and Jaheezah، has contributed to attract many women.

Some sources talk about an army of women was accompanying Shabeeb and his wife alGhazalah.
