Sections of supervision and control agree on many of the reports issued by the national bodies and international organizations, that the insurance industry in three Maghreb countries (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco), which have witnessed deep structural turnovers, as it seeks organs of supervision and control in these countries to accelerate the growth of the financial sector, because of its importance in development.

Therefore, this article aims to shed light on the harvest and the proceeds of the underwriting activity in the Maghreb countries during the period 2000-2013, in addition to the evaluation of performance indicators for the insurance market, the Maghreb, especially the density ratio and the rate of penetration, as compared to the levels and international standards .
