Abstract EN

This study is designed to build legal expert system for consultation in Jordanian Shari law.

Shari law concerned about family law including marriage, divorce, children's right, and inheritance matters for Muslims.

The results of system analysis classified the cases into many types according to the case object, the case terms, and if the case depends on previous case or not.

The suitable search method for the system was best first search .

The system is testing using different cases, then comparing these results with the results of the experts .

All the results were in match with most of the experts' decisions.
