This study in its overall thrust is intended to discover the role of the ^r^lelism-structare in the style of Abdul-Hameed Al-Ka'tib throughout his formal and informal letters.

The study presents the concept of linguistic criticism as tackled by Roman Jacobson utilizing the linguistic phenomena it includes، and distributing such phenomena in different phonological، moj^hological and lexical levels of analysis.
