Abstract EN

The current study aims to identify the most prominent charaeteristies and resources of alienation among Palestinian academic lecturers who work at AI-aqsa University.

The study aims also to recognize the behavioural choices that are prefen*ed by the study sample to confront it.

A questionnaire was designed and prepared by the researcher and then applied on a sample of (140) academic leclurer after verifying it's validity and reliability.

The study results showed that (48%) ofthe study sample feel alienation in the form of powerlessness, isolation, abnormalities, meaninglessness, س self -estrangement.

Also the level of alienation among lecturers who have Master de^ee was higher than those having Ph.D.

in addition to this, the ratio of internal resources for alienation among lecmrers was (89.6%), while it was (86.7%) for the external resources of alienation.

In addition to that (50%) ofthe study sample preferred the aggressive behavioural choices, (40.و%) preferred withdrawal choices, and (9.1 %) preferred the submissive choices.
