Abstract EN
This experiment was conducted to study the response of in vitro produced banana plantlets, grown in potted soil mixture, to the application of nitrogen fertilizer and its combination with phosphorous or sulfur after weaning; the initial phase of acclimatization.
The treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with 6 replicates.
Final data were collected 10 weeks after measuring plant height, circumference, leaf number, leaf length and width, shoot fresh and dry weights, root number and length, root fresh and dry weights.
Nitrogen combined with sulphur resulted in significantly higher growth response compared to control
