Abstract EN

This research paper investigates the self-dichotomy between life dispute and death for the Saudi poet Abdallah Idres, the study found that the poet is dichotomous between the struggle of life and death.

The text includes features for life and other for death.

These features are not separated but consistent in the text.

The study also discovered that the features of life in the text overcame, subsequently, the study is summed up in two sides: tendency of love survival as it considered a self-instinct, and the poet religious tendency which is issued from Islamic teachings that call to the dislike of death.

The research uses the analytical, technical method employing the tools of the descriptive method, and the study attained to the results written the conclusion.
