Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to highlights the role of industrial design to change the chain of Sudanese leather value from exporting the leather as pickle, (wet blue) and crust, to export it as a product with added value.

Through economic study relied on descriptive analytical method and practical, Designs and manufactures high-quality leather clothing.

Has been tested leather specifications chemically and physically because this industry has not been tried before in the Sudan.

The leather samples have passed tests Have been designing and manufacturing models, then the production cost calculation.

Compared the leather price after Manufacturing with the price of exporting (wet blue) leather.The results were based on the theoretical analysis and practical results that the industrial designer can play an active and important role in the development of the Sudanese leather value chain.

And to embrace the idea of the production of finished leather and exported as products represents a significant addition to the value of leather and enhance the chances of creating jobs and increasing income and bring in foreign currency and economic growth.
