تأثير المستخلص الكحولي الخام لأوراق الكرفس Apium graveolens في خصوبة ذكور الفئران البيض المعاملة بالاكريلامايد

Abstract EN

The current study aimed to investigate the effect of alcoholic extract of Apium graveolens leaves in reducing the toxic effects induced by acrylamide .

Results showed that injection of male mice by 2 and 4 mg/kg body weight by using 23 doses every second days along 45 days subcutaneously led to significant reduction (p<0.05) of body weight with testes as compared with the control.

Moreover the effect was increased by increasing the concentrations,mean while the groups which was treated by the alcoholic extract of Apium graveolens leaves with a crylamide for both concentrations indicated no significant differences (p>0.05) in comparasion with the control.

The histological study revealed histopathological changes in testes of mice which treated by acrylamide for both concentrations as compared with the control ,the effect was increased by increasing the concentration.The group which was treated by the alcoholic extract of Apium graveolens leaves with acrylamide showed no histopathological changes as compared with the control .Acrylamide treatment for both concentrations led to asignificant differences (p<0.05)in numbers of spermatozoa, spermatocytes,spermatids and seminiferous tubules diameters,the effect was increased by increasing the concentrations as compared with the control.

The group which was treated by alcoholic extract of Apium graveolens leaves with acrylamide for both concentrations showed no significant differences (p>0.05)in number of spermatides and diameters of seminiferous tubules in comparasion with control.
