Abstract EN

This study deals with the important milestones that characterize efforts of Taha Abdel Rahman in renewing Arabic terminology.

It discovers that the most important key of this renewal is to link the term and its semantics to its linguistic origin.

Further, it connects it to contextual usage and conceptual fields.

The conceptual field of the terms includes a group of interrelated terms that come in symmetry or concordance.

Efforts of Taha Abdul Rahman in terminology have been characterized by using comprehensive Arabic terminology resources and tributaries in the development of terms and sub-terms, such as: exploitation of the Arab lexicon, property of derivation that characterizes Arabic language and the Qur'anic terminology that controls semantic borders and concepts of terms.
