Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the uses of cloud storage of data in libraries and information centers and information security; from where its definition, importance, advantages, disadvantages, challenges and ways to overcome these challenges.

The study used the analytical descriptive approach, and reached the following results: there is a high possibility of making use of cloud storing in all institutions including libraries.

Cloud storing is a basic factor in cloud computing that reduces costs for individuals and institutions, saves time and effort in seeking data from any place in the world.

The study recommended that more research work should be undertaken in the field of cloud storage, and the necessity of activating cloud storage –taking the full information security precautionsin all institutions.
