Ithe Arabic name.

Normally, this meaning is derived either from the Ijljjguistic significance of a name derived from an abstract meaning, or ^from the very special qualities of the concrete entity in case the name ^'is derived from a specific concrete entity in nature.

The primary data of this study is based on a selection of students' names from the Faculty of Arts in Wadi-Addawasir.

The study consists of an introduction where I presented my definition of "literary meaning" and the importance of studying the meaning of names as, to my knowledge, it has never been studied before because most of the related studies have focused on the linguistic intei'pretation of the name, the same way the language dictionaries do.

In the introduction, I have also explained the methodological procedure I followed as well as the scope and the limits of the study.

The body of the studies included' seven tables of meaning that I called scenes.

These scenes refer to seven major meanings: strength, optimism, honor, generosity, beauty, warding off evil eye, and aroma.

In each scene, the treatment consists in studying the group of names that carry the significance related to it.

So, a scientific discu.ssion takes place.

It usually starts with the discussion of the linguistic origin of the meaning, the definition of its aesthetics, and the following-up of the natural characteristics or complexions of the concrete entity to which the name refers.

In this context, and in order to find out the literary' meaning of the name, we appeal for the help of the Arabic literary heritage - especially poetry - and we refer to signs and evidences that support our interpretation of the meaning or suggestion.

We also discuss the extent to which the .caller perceives the outstanding aesthetic indications implied by the entities and by the abstract meanings from which the names were taken, and the extent to which he intends to employ them in confirming the desired image of the character he projects for the newborn in the present or in the future through its name.

At the end of the research, we summarized the findings of the study and presented the recommendations that might be of scientific benefit for researchers in this field.
