The industry of shale bricks in Rashid District is considered is a study in the economical geography.

It is one of the important geographical topics because it appears (shows) the role of industries in developing the country side.

This study aims at evaluating the development that has been made to this industry to know its current status and it has five subjects (topics).

The first subject deals with the development of shale bricks industry in the District from 1985 uptil now.

Secondly, the effective factors in the shale bricks industry.

Thirdly, the industrial structure of shale bricks.

Fourthly, the predictable effects of shale bricks industry.

Finally, this study deals with the problems of brick industry in Rashid District to identify the future of this industry and develop it This study concludes that the area of Burg Rashid specializes in the industry of shale bricks with investment of 25.2 million pound and production of 90.7 million pounds which represents more than half of the total District production But Edfina area is specialized in canned food industry.
