Abstract EN

This study is one of the contributions aimed at enhancing our understanding of the political transformations facing Arab societies after the revolutions of the Arab Spring, which will be reflected in one way or another on the Kuwaiti society, and the first targeting will be the youth of Kuwait.

Hence, the study sought to identify changes that have occurred in the attitudes of Kuwaiti political orientations after the Arab Spring, and by exploring the extent of correlation between the revolutions of the Arab Spring and the political orientations of the Kuwaiti youth, and its impact on the political mobility.

To achieve that goal, the study relied on a questionnaire design applied on a sample of (319) students from the University of Kuwait, centered around three measurements for the Arab Spring: the Arabs, religious groups, and Kuwait.

The study stated a set of results which included: First, there is a political change which occurred in the political thought of the Kuwaiti youth with the Arab Spring.

Second, the results of the Arab Spring are incomplete, as the Spring toppled the regime hierarchy, without a real change in culture of democracy Thrid, the spring revolutions are influenced by globalization and the political orientations of the Western societies.

Fourth, the Arab Spring has contributed, in one way or another, to the rise of fundamentalism in all its forms.

Fifth, continued political dialogue based on a clear agenda between political and religious forces is the most useful solution to achieve and promote a culture of democracy.

Sixth, the Arab Spring plays an important role in raising their political hopes and ambitions and constitutional demands among the Kuwaiti opposition groups Finally, the study found that the states of the Gulf cooperation Council (GCC) will be affected sooner or later by revolutions of the Arab spring.
