In fact the progress of nations and their advance depend on the mental and intellectual development of their youths, since science is the engine of nations' progress and advance both scientifically and practically.

Therefore, we should take interest in the male and female students' achievement level because they are the youths of today, the makers of tomorrow and the hope of the future.

If we do not take interest in them, there is no need for education.

From this starting-point, the importance of the study arises, that is, the impact of sociai factors on the weak academic achievement for the university girl students.

This problem has become a general problem from which most universities in the world suffer.

So, it is not right lo cast blame entirely on the female students, or the family, or the university: but in fact it is a shared responsibility between them all; it is partly due to social environment in connection with the family social position and economic ievei, and partly due to the neighborhood and bad company, classmates- all these factors may negatively be reflected on the female students, weakening their academic achievement abilities.

Since many male and female students may stumble in finishing their education especially the university stage, this problem has preoccupied those responsible for the educational process especially university education as in many Saudi
