Abstract EN

The aim of this research paper is to identify the relationship and the impact of the requirements of Strategic information systems on the effectiveness of the organization.

The researchers have tried to present a clear vision on the theoretical side of the subject using a detailed literature review; meanwhile the researchers have conducted a practical study using a questionnaire to test the variables of the research.

In particular, the independent variable of the research (strategic information systems) which consists of (Regulatory requirements, Technological requirements) and Dependent variable of the research (Effectiveness of the Organization) which consists of (Effectiveness in achieving goals and Effectiveness of internal processes), in order to identify the relationship between those variables a practical research was conducted among the directors, deputy directors and heads of departments in the private banking sector in Erbil city.

For that purpose, a sample of (118) managers was chosen and later giving a pre designed questionnaire.

Later, the data was analyzed by SPSS-18 software and various statistical methods were extracted.

A set of conclusions were found which they are include: 1.

There is a significant positive relationship between the requirements of the Strategic information systems and the effectiveness of the organization.

The existence of a significance relationship with the impact of positive to the requirements of the Strategic information systems and the effectiveness of the organization.

Finally, the researchers have presented some recommendations to the Bank managers who participated in the research.
