It is well known that contemporary culture is the culture of the picture par excellence, and all the arts and the sciences became interested.
And from there, we found ourselves before a pressing question: what is the place of the image in literary criticism, because it became one of the literary text component? What is the definition of the image in the Arab and Western criticism? And what are the practical tools in place to determine its significance and methods for the production of the literary text ?

Il est de notoriété que la culture contemporaine est la culture de l’image par excellence, et que tous les arts et toutes les sciences s’y sont intéressés.
Partant de là, nous nous sommes trouvés confrontés à un ensemble de questions: quelle est la place de l’image dans la critique littéraire, vu qu’elle devient l’une des composantes du texte littéraire? Et quelle est la définition de l’image dans la critique arabe et la critique occidentale? Et quelles sont les outils pratiques mis en place pour déterminer ses significations et leurs méthodes pour la production du texte littéraire ?
