Philosophical Counselling or also Therapeutic Philosophy is a ‘new’ field in philosophy that sprang up from the branch of philosophy known as applied philosophy or practical philosophy.

Practical or applied philosophy involves the application of special areas of knowledge in philosophy into other or new fields of human endeavor.

Philosophical counseling is a therapy that is offered from the philosophical perspective as an alternative solution to some of the problems besieging human life, when they become other psychological and medical treatments are inadequate.

The current research sheds light on the concept of the philosophical counseling, and the goal of it, and the history of its development, as an attempt to establish a strong argument to be used under Applied practices along with other counseling curriculum as a form of psychological counseling or treatment.
