Abstract EN

The international conventions on human rights are considered the most important measures to promote human rights.

According to them, the State’s obligation to respect the human rights to all persons becomes a domestic commitment, in addition to being an international commitment.

These conventions oblige states parties to implement them; i.e., to implement these conventions through their domestic legal systems.

This study presents the entry into force of human rights conventions in the domestic legal system in terms of how they are implemented, the obligation to apply them, the mechanisms of control and the related problems.

The study has taken the Sultanate of Oman as a model.
