Abstract EN

Though the present study the Researcher aims at identifying the differences between the aggressive behavior among Sport Practicing and Non- Practicing People.

For this purpose, the Researcher has selected a group of individuals between 13- 15 years old practicing and non practicing sport.

Totaling 80 individuals, the group were two subgroups of 40 individuals each.

The Researcher applied the seven areas scale of aggressive behavior: Hatred, offensiveness, excessive irritability, suspicion, oral aggressiveness rejection and indirect aggressiveness.

Once the questionnaires collected and the information thereof unloaded, the output has been statistically treated and the outcome displayed, analyzed and discussed, to arrive to the conclusion that Sports constitute an important factor in reorienting the behavior in general, mainly its positive aspect in particular and reducing aggressive behavior, specifically within the variables tackled by the present study.

All the aspects of aggressive behavior have been found of lower levels among the individuals who practice sports compared to those who do not practice.

Finally, it is shown that the sports’ regulations and the coaches’ instructions are of deep impact in reducing the aggressive behavior among the individuals practicing sports.

It appears that the subject matter still need more and thorough research carried out on samples of older individuals, as well as comparative studies on the aggressive behavior among the individuals practicing different sports and games.

Therefore, families should take into consideration the importance of encouraging their children to join sport teams in order to dampen their level of aggressiveness.

The educational institutions should equally enhance sports classes in their curricula, considering the importance and the benefits of this issue in reducing the pressure on the students and the improving the contact and relationship within the institution, and creating better occasion of relieve low-keyed feelings and excess of energy among the youth.
