The purpose of this study was to uncover whether differences in levels of education of teachers played a role when using the interactive whiteboard, and if this can be attributed to different years of experience, specialization and/or academic qualification.

It also aimed to measure the teachers' need for training sessions to be able to use the interactive whiteboard.

The study collected feedback from teachers regarding the advantages and disadvantages when using the interactive whiteboard.

It worked on recommending proposed solutions to enhance its use.

To achieve these goals, an analytical descriptive method was used.

The instrument of study was a questionnaire that was distributed to a study sample of teachers specifically from 'Second High School/ the only school within the 'Development Project' in the city of Medina.

The results revealed little difference in opinion among the teachers surveyed, which were mainly attributed to differences in their years of experience, specialization, and academic qualification.

The results also showed that there is a need for more training for making better use of the interactive whiteboard.

Despite the advantages, the study underlined that there remain some challenges when using the interactive whiteboard.

The most prominent solution proposed to activate its use was to undertake more training and perform ongoing maintenance.

In light of these results a number of recommendations were proposed, including the provision of blackboards to be a regular substitute in case of faulty interactive whiteboards, and promoting the role of technical support and work studies to measure the impact of interactive whiteboards on achievement and intellectual development
