Abstract EN

This study investigates the possibility of economic integration in GCC countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Oman, towards this goal we analyze the long-term relationship among key macro variables: Gross Domestic Product, Public Consumption, real exchange rate, Intra-Trade, and Inflow of Foreign Direct Investment using econometric methods such as the Panal Cointegration tests during the period 1981-2012, Our empirical results show a high degree of co-movement among these variables, which illustrate the support of the integration and reap the benefits of economic integration.
