The events in Syria were launched in the city of Daraa near the border with Jordan in March 2011, in the form of protests, and then spread after security forces faced them violently and brutally.

The regime’s blocking of political dialogue has resulted in launching and escalation of fighting.

The continuous fighting for four years now has resulted in vast losses and damages in most parts of Syria.

It was not long until the world countries, led by Iran, began to intervene in Syria.

This intervention contributed in changing the path of the battles and the crisis in general.

Over time, the Syrian territories have become arena for conflicts of global and regional powers by proxy.

This situation has led to a multi-structure of actors in the region, and to restrict network completely.

This article aims to study the development of the Syrian crisis in the current time, with a greater focus on the military dimension.

The current military situation on the ground is significantly important in reaching a political solution, and it changes on a daily basis, where the powers controlling areas changes, and new agreements appears on the scene.

Because the Syrian crisis crossed the Syrian border, international positions towards the crisis and the axes within which the international powers are included have gained greater importance.

Eventually, the Syrian issue has exceeded, a long time ago, the stage being able to be solved unilaterally.

Therefore, our understanding of the positions of world powers and axes formed by these powers as well as conflicts among them will be very important.
