Abstract EN

Relations between Turkey and the GCC states during the last decade and particularly after the Arab uprisings have improved significantly.

In parallel with its new foreign policy principles، Turkey decided to transform its historical friendships with the Gulf countries into strategic partnerships، to bring mutual advantages for both sides.

In order to examine the conditions that provided the framework for partnerships and analyse the current status of the GCC relations with Turkey، this study examines Turkey-GCC relations under the influence of the Arab uprisings by underlining the military coup in Egypt on July 3، 2013 as a turning point for newly emerging challenges، and outline the new regional politics.
