Abstract EN

In this study, we seek to raise a number of issues, associated with free verse experience.

We have discussed in the beginning a number of terms that circulating among Arab scholars of this modernist experiment in contemporary Arabic poetry, (since the founding pioneers in Iraq, passing through all other subsequent experiences in Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, and Tunisia).

We talked in the first place on the issue of the naming and attitudes of a number of theorists of poetry and poetics, and noticed how the name does not apply so much on the nature of the experiment .

We have noticed that free verse in Europe, and in France in particular, has other horizons where it is moving with them.

Some of the terms in this context, such as : hemistich / line / tadwir / pause / sone / Stanza and strophic poetry have been discussed.

We have also endeavored to reveal the faces of the interaction between the scholars of this type of poetry, and to show the differences between them.
