This article studies a form of conceptualizing the theory of poetry.
In particular, it reviews a work entitled ‘The Concept of Poetry in Abbasid Poetry’.
This includes investigating its theoretical background, claims, data and methodology.
The article argues that this work lacks coherence and although it introduces many insightful analyses, it fails to construct a well-organized thesis.

Cet article étudie une forme de la conceptualisation de la théorie de la poésie.
En particulier, il examine un livre intitulé «Le concept de la poésie chez les poètes», et ce, pour analyser et caractériser ses fondements cognitifs ainsi que la structuration et la cohérence de son corpus d’étude.
L'article soutient que ce travail manque de cohérence et apporte de nombreuses analyses perspicaces ; il ne parvient pas à construire une thèse bien organisée.
