Abstract EN

This study aimed to analyze the impact of the role of monetary policy in achieving economic balance through the monetary mass index M2 and a set of macro-economic variables such as: the rate of inflation and the rate of operating in Algeria.

The study found many of the most important results: - Monetary policy depends on the tools of impact on the interest rate and then on investment, the latter which affects unemployment, inflation and the national output, which in turn affects the budget balance and the trade balance.

- There is some sort of retreat of those in charge of directing the Algerian economy on some of the pillars of the independence of the monetary authority approved by Law 90/10 on this and following the issuance of Order No.

03/11 dated August 26, 2003, which is hereby cancel the 90/10 law.
