The Paper deals with the study of the effectiveness and efficiency of the compulsory right of the consumer in the withdrawal from a contract concluded at a distance.

The paper also explains why the EU legislator adopted this right and made it binding, and what can be construed in terms of the practices of consumers and their investment so that one can avoid the effects that accompany the arbitrariness of consumers or their indifference in resorting to the right of withdrawal One could suggest the possibility of adopting a modified version of this right by making it an option the consumer can resort to.
