The research aims to develop guidelines and milestones for the contemporary Ijtihad (original reasoning) in the light of the changing social conditions, to combine both tradition and modernity, in order to arrive at a contemporary understanding of the sacred text.

In addition, the research aims to expand the horizon of Ijtihad to include the developments in the modern era, linking legislation and its general aspects, combining the particular with the general, and suggesting standards to deal with the legal text and the changing reality
