Abstract EN

This research sought to study the modern critical theory.

This theory is the reception and the acceptance in the first syntactic authored book، which is Sibawayh's book.

This theory focuses on the recipient and his interaction with the text.

In this study، the researcher traced the features and data of this theory.

These features became obvious to the Imam (Head) of Arabic syntax.

The recipient seemed to be present in Sibawayh's mind whereby he expressed this recipient by the second person pronoun (the addressee).

The position of this recipient varied between denial of a number of Sibawayh's opinions and supporting them.

Sibawayh also laid the foundation for some rules to serve him such as avoiding ambiguity whereby he considered it prohibited if the addressee doesn’t know about it.
